Step 1
Produce / Allocate
You manufacture or allocate stock at origin — the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras or another producing country.
How It Works
The model is simple: ship production from origin into one central Swiss bonded stock position, hold it professionally under cigar-specific conditions, and release stock in controlled quantities to your appointed importers, distributors and other permitted commercial partners as each market develops.
Production is manufactured or allocated at origin.
Received, inspected, stored under bond, managed and prepared.
Handles local import, excise and compliance in its market.
Germany, the Netherlands, France, Asia — market by market, as distribution develops.
The Five Steps
A prospect should be able to understand the model in under a minute. Here is the full flow of your stock through the hub.
Step 1
You manufacture or allocate stock at origin — the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras or another producing country.
Step 2
A consolidated commercial shipment is sent to the Cigar Logistics bonded warehouse, subject to the agreed commercial and customs documentation.
Step 3
Stock is checked in, recorded by client and SKU, and stored under cigar-specific controlled conditions — visible to you in real time.
Step 4
As you appoint importers or receive commercial orders, the relevant quantities are picked and prepared — nothing is committed early.
Step 5
We dispatch to the nominated importer, distributor, duty-free partner or other permitted commercial destination, with documentation and status reporting.
Then Repeat
The remaining inventory stays centrally held, ready to be allocated to the next market as your distribution develops.
A Worked Example
A Dominican cigar brand produces 500 boxes across four SKUs. Rather than committing all 500 boxes to Germany before the German launch is proven, the brand ships the production to Switzerland.
Cigar Logistics receives and stores the stock. The brand's German importer then requests 120 boxes for the initial launch. Those boxes are prepared and dispatched to the importer, which completes the German excise, Track & Trace, stamps and local compliance.
The remaining inventory stays centrally held — and can later be allocated to Germany, the Netherlands, France, Asia or another authorised market as distribution develops.
The Commercial Benefit
Flexibility. You do not have to decide the final destination of every box at the moment production leaves the factory — stock is released only when a distributor is appointed or a market order exists.
Tell us your production origin, SKU count, initial quantities and target markets — we will map the flow with you.
